Stay safe throughout the dark months of the year with the talis motion detector
As the days grow shorter and it starts to get dark as early as the late afternoon, reliable lighting around buildings and properties becomes increasingly important. Entrance areas, paths, driveways, patios and outbuildings in particular should remain safe and easily accessible even after dark. At the same time, outdoor lighting does not need to be switched on round the clock.
This is where motion detectors offer a practical solution: they ensure that the light switches on automatically only when it is actually needed. The talis motion detectors from Grässlin combine reliable motion detection with demand-based control of the connected lighting, thereby providing greater convenience and safety in everyday life.
Light exactly when it’s needed
A motion detector automatically controls the lighting, making it unnecessary to switch the lights on manually in many situations. As soon as movement is detected within the sensor’s range, the connected lights switch on automatically. After a customisable delay, the lights switch off again.
This is particularly convenient during the darker months of the year. For example, when you come home, you don’t have to search for a light switch in the dark. Paths to the front door, garage driveways or entrances to outbuildings can also be automatically illuminated as soon as someone approaches.
The lighting is not left on unnecessarily for long periods. The light is only switched on for as long as it is actually needed. This reduces unnecessary operating times and allows outdoor lighting to be used more efficiently.
Greater safety around buildings and properties
A well-lit environment can help to make trip hazards and obstacles visible at an early stage. Automatic lighting is therefore a useful addition, particularly on paths, stairways or access routes where visibility is poor.
talis motion detectors are suitable for various areas around buildings. Whether at the front door, along a path, by the garage or on the terrace: as soon as movement is detected, the required light is automatically provided.
Lighting control tailored to actual needs can also be useful for commercial buildings, business premises or other outdoor areas. Areas that are only used occasionally do not need to be lit continuously. Automatic activation enables the existing lighting to be used as and when required.
Convenience through automatic lighting control
As well as the safety aspect, convenience is a key priority. Automatic lighting control adapts to the use of the respective area without users having to intervene manually each time.
This is evident, for example, upon arrival at the building: the motion detector senses movement and switches the lighting on automatically. Once the set delay time has elapsed, the light switches off again.
This results in simple and convenient lighting control that can be easily integrated into everyday life. This convenience is particularly noticeable during the autumn and winter months, when outdoor areas are more frequently used after dark.
Lighting tailored to needs can reduce unnecessary operating times
As well as comfort and safety, the efficient use of lighting also plays an important role. Outdoor lights that remain switched on for long periods even though no one is in the area in question result in unnecessary operating times.
By activating automatically via a motion detector, however, the lighting is linked to actual usage. The light switches on when movement is detected and switches off again after a defined period.
This makes the solution particularly suitable for areas where lighting is not required continuously. The existing lighting can be used in a targeted manner without users having to remember to switch it on or off each time.
Versatile for outdoor use
Motion detectors have a wide range of applications. Depending on the building and the area of use, they can, for example, be used in the following areas:
- Entrance areas and front doors
- Footpaths and access routes
- Garages and driveways
- Terraces and outdoor areas
- Outbuildings and storage rooms
- Commercial buildings and operational areas
This allows a wide variety of lighting scenarios to be controlled automatically. The talis motion detectors offer a practical way of switching existing lighting on and off as required, whilst at the same time enhancing user comfort.
Well prepared for autumn and winter
As the days get shorter, outdoor lighting becomes increasingly important. With an automatic lighting control system, the lighting can be adapted to actual usage and switched on precisely when it is needed.
The talis motion detectors from Grässlin offer a reliable and convenient solution for this. They combine automatic motion detection with demand-based lighting control and are suitable for a wide range of applications around buildings and properties.
